One of the major challenges in database development is managing version control of source code. Compros has developed two utilities, SQL Scriptor and MS Access Scriptor to simplify this important task abd offers them as a free servi ce.

SQL Server Scriptor

You can use this utility for creating file per object scripts for SQL Server database. We have improved on built-in SQL Server Scripting by adding the following features:

Objects are split into separate folders (tables, views stored procedures, etc)
Select objects you want to include (or exlude) from scripting
Database scripting configuration is preserved between sessions

SQL Scriptor

MS Access Scriptor

There are properties that are normally treated by MS Access VSS Add-In as binary objects. This utility gives you flexibility of recording these properties as clear text.

The utility works in two modes:

Splits MS Access database into multiple .xml file
Reconstructs MS Access MDB file from the .xml files
